What is Kokum Butter?

Kokum butter is an oil from the seeds of kokum tree. It is rich in saturated fat known as stearic acid. Kokum butter is solid at room temperature.

Unlike other types of plant butter, kokum butter has a very hard texture that melts easily when applied to the skin. Try making lotion bars with kokum butter! The hard texture will help to harden the solid lotion faster. 

Kokum butter naturally has no scent. Since it is odorless, colorless butter, it is great to use with other butters like shea utter.
